Linda is a galga recently rescued in Seville, from a 'municipal
animal collection service' where after a month they hadn't even
looked at the two serious injuries to her elbow and carpus that were
in need of two artrodesis operations. The most important injury
is the chronic luxation of her left elbow, that unable her from
standing properly. Javier and Paqui picked her up from the municipal
centre and our colaborator vet Antonio Vazquez from that area,
contacted Cristobal , a well known traumatologist vet from Seville ,
who has now operated on her elbow luxation. It will, depending on her
recovery, be decided as to whether another artrodesis operation will
also be needed on her carpus, that also presents a similar
injury.
Once
more, thanks to the help of many volunteers, of SOS Galgos members,
people and institutions that support our work by giving generous
donations, we can offer a solution to repair the damage and suffering
that many hunters cause, and that the authorities allow to happen, all
for their selfishness and mentality that galgos are mere instruments
for their 'hobby' that are discarded when no longer useful.
We
hope to find Linda a good home where she'll get all the love that she
has not known yet in her young life.
