Last night 11 Cleopatras and 11 of SOS Galgos’ greyhounds for adoption took the stage in tune to Enigma and Enya music at Otto Zutz discoteque in Tarragona. The evening was mystical and evocative and brought back the great respect there was for galgos in Egyptian times. Thank you to Otto Zutz in Tarragona for making it happen, to Klea Kristina Levin for the organization and to our beautiful and generous Cleopatra volunteers for doing such a great job!

The galgos wore spectacular Barcelonadogs’ collars and four galgos found forever homes with lovely people who had come especially to meet them. This all started thanks to an initiative by AEGA (American European Greyhound Alliance) organized by Louise Coleman who started this very same Cleopatra event Cleopatras walked beautiful greyhounds around Central Park in New York near the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The show was following by the screening of documentary film ‘February. The fear of the greyhounds’ by Irene Irene Blanquez of Waggingtale Productions and many hundreds of people attended.

Otto Zutz kindly donated the proceeds of the sale of the drinks sold which amounted to 612 euros and SOS Galgos raised 380 euros through the sale of t-shirts and bags. A very big thank you for helping to rescue more galgos.
